My.Space.

It can be a challenge in a family home - or any home really - to find a little corner to call your own.....somewhere you can write, work or just think......somewhere to squirrel away books/files/drawings/ideas.....somewhere to be inspired - and somewhere where anything you own isn't commandeered for homework or isn't cut-pasted-glued-collaged-whatever!
A whole room seems almost too much to ask for, I would be happy with just a corner to call my own.....although I am still going to work on my plans for a shed-summerhouse-tea corner-thinking space....that would be my dream!
Here are some really wonderful spaces.......lots of great ideas here......pieces of all of them appeal to me....
Lots of inspiration here....great desk, lots to look at, lots of storage....and I love those wire baskets....

A lovely view.....and a beautiful desk.....

I love this tucked away space....

This would surely have to be everyone's perfect office space....private, spacious, wonderful in the summer, snug in the winter and space to be as creative as you want in your work and your surroundings....this is a dream!

Feminine, calm and clean.....love the cerise accents in this....

A lovely desk and wonderful dreamy view.....

A little too white for me but nice and calm....

Gorgeous surroundings.....who could fail to be creative in this converted shed....

Too dark for me but extremely stylish....

Love the baskets and the simple "tidy-ness" of this space....

A lovely work corner, this cupboard is beautiful....

A whole wall of inspiration.....great storage space.....

Love the storage space here....

Very stylish....

I LOVE this wallpaper.....

Wonderful light, very calm, lots of great storage....

A very simple work corner.....

One of my favourites.....lots of stimulation and inspiration here all within reach.....

I love the table and the chair here....and the floor too.....

Love the grey and pale lemon together, lovely desk and I love that frame....

Lots of space, light and storage.....lovely....

  1. You certainly have a way of finding incredibly inspiring photos! I love the one with the wall of shelves, but honestly, can you imagine dusting that??? :)

  2. I love them all. But I tend to favor those with windows for the view and light. Just beautiful!

  3. Oh, I love the garden shed with the little boat in it..., just like the "Backyard Beach Hut" on my new blog..., with that said..., "A Beach House Dream" has moved to "A Beach Lovers Place"..., hope you'll check in and follow me there. This comment links to it.

  5. I love all of these little areas. I like to sneak away to a place where I can communicate with the internet world. :)

  6. I laugh because Kim & I had the same thought about the dusting!!!
I'm for the shed, that way you really get away, even if only a few meters.

  9. I am working on my little space as I type, err well hubby is. Ha. Yellow walls, walnut floors, a corkboard & all the clutter a girl could need. Well I share it with 5 others, But still I will have little nook for me. My hands down favourite is the understairs nook & the converted shed. Dreamy.

  10. These are all such inspiring work spaces! I think the one tucked away and the one with the pink flowers are my favorites though.
