I absolutely LOVE lighting, particularly outdoor lighting.....I adore candles and lanterns...even looking at pictures of it makes me excited....there is just something so magical and beautiful about white lights and candles at night.
There is a scene in the movie "Mr Wonderful" where the main character returns home to her tiny courtyard garden and the guy who has been pursuing her has decorated her trees with tiny white lights.......it was so romantic and so pretty.....I saw this film years ago but can still remember how breathtaking it looked....

You have brought back many memories, in particular, my sons wedding last October. There were lanterns in the trees and the paper bag candles along all of the paths , white fairy lights in the trees leading up to the Tythe Barn. It was beautiful. XXXX

What a luscious tribute to light!!!!! Is the bliss image Bali??? It reminds me of all those luxury houses you can rent.
My favorite is number I'll join you there & we'll have the gentleman wait on us hand & foot. The winter scene is sooo charming to. It reminds me of The Bethel Inn in Maine where as a teen I had the most picture perfect Christmas holiday.

I completely agree with you, lighting can really add to an event. We have someone coming in to do all of the lighting for our event just because I think it will make it look that much better!

You totally inspired me, after I saw your post I went out to the screened in porch and hung my lights in there. It was so nice. I even sat out there and had a glass of wine under the lights, just beautiful!
