Apples and Autumn....

There is something about apples that just really shouts "A-U-T-U-M-N".....a red, yellow and green feast of crispy, crunchy and fresh loveliness.....I just love them....

Isn't this beautiful....?

Apple praline tart....
The prettiest apple tart ever....

Apple butter.....how delicious does this look?

I've never seen apples done like this before....my daughter would hate them and my son would love them!

Spiced apple pie....yes, please :)

Apple blossom....

Buttery apple cake....

Caramel apples....

Classic apple pie....
I recently discovered the joys - or perils - of Etsy and although I have never recommended particular shops before, these were too lovely not to....
French designer Anna Barrow sells her creations through her etsy store Lilla lotta.....I ordered a selection from her just a couple of weeks ago and I received them within days....I was thrilled with them!

The very charming olivia at Everyday Musings has also just opened her own very lovely Etsy shop and is selling a variety of gorgeous cakestands which she has created from vintage plates....

I'm still in awe over the stunning 'rose' apple tart! WOW! Imagine the love and care that went into making this beautiful (and delicious) masterpiece! Almost too gorgeous to eat, but I would do it!

And the Etsy shop with the gorgeous ribbon - seriously, a weakness of mine! I'm headed over now!

Love those vintage cake plates so much that I already purchased the beautiful pink one!

In regards to your sweet package, I wish you would just hand-deliver, for I know we would have the best time together! :)

Happy Day!
Melissa

Dear Simone,
I never knew that there were so many ways of using apples.....and I love, love, love the apple ribbon, ribbon and wrapping paper being a great weakness of mine, My husband cannot understand how anyone can get gooey eyed over ribbon !!!!
Have already got a vintage plate cake stand...love them.
The apples with faces are quite scary, so can see why your gorgeous son would love them !!!!
I now think that apples are top of my shopping list tomorrow. Have you got shares in the apple marketing board ??!!!! XXXX

I LOVE the apples with the letters punched in them and the ones that look like roses. Who knew there were so many beautiful uses for a simple fruit? I guess we are only limited by our creativity and imagination...
If you get a chance stop by my Blog and say hi! I just put up a new post...
Have a great day,
Aimee

In love with that apple rose tart ~ looks simply delish! I forgot all about apples in my autumn post ~ oh well...next time. You find the most glorious images ~ you will have to point me in your direction so I can swoop in and get in on the action. You know you cannot keep them ALL to yourself. Happy Thursday my friend. xo

This post is a dream! The apple "rose" tart, the vintage plates, the gorgeous ribbons....the Halloween apples floating in the tub are even ghoulishly fabulous (but freaky). I've missed popping in! We've had a special friend staying for the last few days and I haven't had time to pop in and catch up. As soon as the kids go to bed tonight, I will indulge myself by reading the last five day's worth of your posts. I've just sneaked in a quick peak! Love to all, Meredy xo.

I agree that pie looks so so good! I used to get a mile high pie at an apple farm. It was about 6 inches tall! Also love sour cream apple pie. oh yum!
