Happy December!Well, it's been quite a week. Coughs, cold, germs, a few tears, you name it....but somehow we made it and the week-end is nearly here, yippee! Work somehow happened, as did school (yippee again!) and tonight I have my first Christmas party, albeit a smallish girlie one....sometimes my favourite, I have to admit :)
My friend Kim over at mimicharmante wrote a wonderful post this week entitled Women-helping-Women....it reminded me of the great blogpost that my friend JennyMac over at letshaveacocktail wrote earlier this week on "31 Days of Goodness"....you must watch this 2.5 minute video, it is amazing....girleffect.
Thank you to everyone who posted fabulous comments this week and who wished me better....it's working! Happy Week-end!

Grace Kellys white dress in To Catch A Thief...favourite dress ever...
ReplyDeleteMOTH thanks you Simone from the bottom of his drooling heart for that first image. He is an avowed back man through & through. No interest at all in boobs & legs, but when there's a little bit of back exposed, he melts into a puddle on the floor!! Glad you & the family are on the mend & you managed to get through all the week's commitments, what a trouper you are!
ReplyDeleteMillie ^_^
Now that would be a fabulous Friday - a lemon lamington and To Catch A Thief! So pleased your week has finished on the up Simone. Have a great weekend. Enjoy the party - I agree smallish girly ones are often the most fun. Amanda xx
ReplyDeleteOoh yes I'd have to agree with MOTH on the back thing, even tho I'm a girl, or maybe because I am, I do appreciate the subtle allure of a beautiful back. Glad you're all on the mend. Enjoy your girly party.xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. My favorite is the Christmas Anthropologie style..and the Agelina Jolie photo!

ReplyDeleteI clicked on girleffect and had to follow through straight away to their site, it really touched me. If we all do something, HUGE changes will happen.

xoxo
Hope you feel better...I had to pop in to see your lovely Friday post! Happy Friday my friend.
ReplyDeleteSimone,
ReplyDeleteI'm still in awe over the first image! Stunning is an understatement! Wow!
Sorry to hear it has been a rough week....let's hope the first Christmas party will bring good cheer!
Bises,
Melissa
Hello Beautiful!!! Oh that 1st photo absolutely took my breath away. I dream of wearing a dress so stunning one day! Also, that quote that followed directly after the 1st photo completely gave me chills. That is exactly how I felt when I met my husband, and actually all over again now that we have moved to Italy. When such dramatic risks are taken, we often never regret taking the leap although it can be very frightening. Thank you so much for this beautiful and inspirational post, and I hope you have a blast at your Christmas party after all the sickness you have endured, Love!

ReplyDeleteHello again Love, thank you so much for your wonderful comment and I am so glad the quote touched you as much as it (and your recent quote!) touched me. I definitely believe the best things in life are gained by the most frightening leaps of faith and biggest sacrifices in order to accomplish something great, or to follow your passions or dreams.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a fantastic weekend!!! xoxoxo
