Simone...we are officially, spookily, on the same wavelength...again! I've been reading through that book with my children over the past week. It really helps expand their thinking parameter's doesn't it? Also, have spent my morning driving time (depending on how many kids have forgotten which items of homework/sports uniform this can take some time)thinking how much I would love to display a series of globes on top of our bookcase.
ReplyDeleteI take this post as affirmation that I am on the right track! Off to eBay for me. Meredy xo.
p.s. are the holidays ok? Can your kids be trusted to make you a cup of tea and bring it to you yet?
p.p.s. re Explorers of the world...a friend of mine uses sheets of contact (clear sticky plastic book covering stuff) for displaying each child's "collections" from that day. They stick various items on the sticky side, then she covers it over with another piece of contact and makes it into a placemat for them. We've done it with flowers and leaves and although it only lasts a week, the kids have loved it while it lasted.
Over and out.
the globes,
ReplyDeletethat list,
the little child...
wonderful images.
here's to you and no snow!
