I think I may be feeling the tiniest little bit better already Dr McDreamy....
YOU are not here by mistake
Around the world and down
through the ages
there has never been
another you,
and there will never be
another you.
The miracle of your
existence is now
in your hands.
You are here for
a purpose.
You have something that
only you can give
to the world.
Take time to consider what that is.

Sadly, no Friday Fabulousness today.....after fighting a cough all week, I went to the doctor yesterday to be told that I have a serious throat infection AND the flu....ugh. I would like to say that I plan to spend the day lying in a darkened room, being cared for and slowly getting better....but BOTH my children have come out with variations of said cough in sympathy...ugh.....ugh!! So.....not the post I had planned for Friday but a little something to make me feel better.....wish me luck, even my eyelashes hurt :)
On the plus side though.....I can see snowdrops and daffodils coming up in the garden.....and the sun is shining, something we haven't seen for weeks.....I am so ready for spring!
Happy Friday!
PS My lovely friend Meredy just posted me the funniest clip to cheer me up....you must watch this..... I feel better already....thanks honey :)

That is sooo exciting! Great to see those buds popping up, its very comforting in a way:) Love that phot of MCDreamy, he's so smoking! Happy weekend! x LZ
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean - when you have children you lose the luxury of ever being an invalid yourself again. It's tough going. I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh Simone, poor you, and your poor little ones,
ReplyDeleteI have only had the flu once and it's awful, isn't it ? Your phrase 'even my eyelashes hurt' is so true....absolutely everything aches.
I hope that you feel a little better soon and that you manage with the children. Sometimes it's really difficult being a mum. Lots of love, XXXX
Oh my, I hope you will feel better SOOOOOON!
ReplyDeleteDon´t forget to drink water or tea a lot and keep yourself warm!
Sending you warm wishes from germany - and yes, I am so ready for spring too!
Sorry to hear you're not well Simone ... and its even worse when the kids are sick also!
ReplyDeleteI know its hard not to be at their beck and call ... but you need to rest and stay in bed also! Maybe you can all snuggle up together. Thank god its the weekend and hubbie will be home (hopefully) for some pampering!
Yes, spring is on its way ... it definitely is great to see those bulbs!
Take care and as Dr McDreamy would say .... drink lots of fluids and stay in bed!
hugs and xxx
Oh, feel better! Rest!!!! We'll still be here!
ReplyDeleteAll your blogging friends are willing you to get better in record time... so take really good care of yourself! (Took a second to admire handsome McDreamy, till I noticed he's wearing a wedding ring, then sulked. How sad is that!!!)
ReplyDeleteCaroline
Take care and rest my love.
ReplyDeleteOh Simone, as a mother, it really is the final insult isn't it? You can't even have a cold all by yourself. At times like these my English Grandmother would take to adding "a little something special" in her cup of tea. She was a very wise woman, my Grandmother.
ReplyDeleteI've just dedicated a post to you to cheer you up and help with the return of the fabulous. Thinking of you, hoping you sleep well and wake up with McDreamy at your bedside. Meredy xo.
Sweet Simone, it is am mother's lot to continue mothering and loving no matter how sick we may a become. Lace your tea with a little rye and honey and this will take the soreness from your throat...a trick I learned while working in a casino. If you are obliged, swim over to my blog and enter in my "A Sea Witch in Paris Giveaway"...I ship overseas. Sea Witch
ReplyDeleteOh hunny ~ I am so sorry that you feel so crappy! I hope that you feel better soon and that the doctor gave you some good meds. If I was closer I would bring you some chicken soup and a hug for sure. Hugs to you ~ take it easy over the week-end and look for some fabulous photos for next week-end!! xo
ReplyDeleteOh sweetie that is just too awful. My thoughts are with you and the kids for a super speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs Deej
