Beach Bliss....

Are you ready for summer? I know I am!

It was a holiday week-end in England this week-end....and I think the only time the sun came out was early this evening....we have had rain and more rain and a thunderclap so loud that I thought something had landed on my roof!

Anyway, I have had a great week-end with some lovely parties....and a very productive time at home, hoorah! I also managed to persuade 10 of my wonderful friends to do the charity 5K run with me in September in aid of Breast Cancer Campaign so am now planning my running regime,  ie, to start one!

Somehow May has arrived....we have no holiday plans confirmed as yet although I am pretty sure we will be going to the beach....we missed it last year and I am longing for some hot Mediterranean sunshine and some long, lazy days at the beach....

Happy Tuesday!

  2. Why does the rain/thunder always come on bank holidays!!?! It didn't actually rain in Northern Ireland but was FREEZING cold instead!

Just looking at these photos warms me up & makes me dream of some of that hot Mediterranean sunshine too:)

  7. I really hope my beach does not get ruined. This makes me think of all the good times I have had on that patch of shore, my first kiss, the bonfires, the weddings, the goodbyes as more than one friend blew away into the ocean. You never truly appreciate things until there is a threat of losing them. I loved the tulle skirt, but can you imagine how it would feel against barely sunburnt skin? Yowweeee...No tulle for me at the beach, as much as I love it.

  9. You know the way to my heart! Hello Simone...a lovely beachy post - can almost feel the sand between my toes. Bank holiday weekend - like yours - was fairly productive at home but we are still in recuperation mode. I say - book that summer holiday now - always better to have something to look forward to!

And on the running regime - I think its wonderful you have taken that mantle - its so good once you get going! Well done you.

  19. Simone, that last pic perfectly describes my life these days. LOL. Do you have sunshine yet?
I was in London 2 years ago on my way to Cork, Ireland to visit friends when I came down with this hideous flu or something. Never left my hotel for 3 days, had the doctor in, etc. and begged Continental to let me on one of their planes to go home. I have regretted that decision every single day, because I really love London!!

  25. Simone,

These photos are incredibly gorgeous, you never cease to amaze me! The first photo is so soft and dreamy...really made me miss the beach! We lived in San Diego before moving to Italy and unfortunately we will be staying in nasty hot NorCal this summer (haha)....therefore I miss the beautiful SoCal beaches immensely! Yet the hot Mediterranean sunshine sounds even better you lucky girl! :):)

I am in love with every single photo you have posted today. If I had to choose favourites, I think they would be #1, #9, and #11. The girl in #11 is incredibly gorgeous! I love the black and white and I would love to be out there posing by the water right now in that elegant outfit!
    Happy Tuesday Love!
