Isn't this a gorgeous photo?
Even though I am a "town girl", I've always thought I'd like to live by sea one day....there's something so therapeutic about the feeling of space and freedom that the sea gives you.
I can feel myself exhaling just looking at this....
Looking out at a vast expanse of water seems to put life into perspective for me....life and its issues seem insignificant in the face of nature and problems just seem less important. Or maybe it's the endless sunshine and diet of ice cream and delicious French wines that does that.....who knows ;)
It's a good combination whatever.
Yet another school holiday is almost upon me (what is it about this year that is making time go so incredibly quickly!) and reminding me that I need to be super-organised, catching up and getting ready for a week at home.
Getting-it-done this week = more time to get out and have fun next week :)
It's sunny and windy in London today - a very odd combination - and as we are almost in June, my determination to discover my beach body has once again hit me....so it's off to the gym for me tonight.
Happy Monday!!

Simone these are gorgeous images I love the first, and am ready to get my bicycle out. The White swimsuit on the dock, perfect!

Hi Simone,
That is indeed a wondeful image and I could almost be there. The warm breezes, the smell of the sea and that coconut suntan lotion smell.....or is it the pina coladas !! Whatever it is it all adds up to relaxation, fun and gorgeous food and drink. Just the right ingredients for some R & R.
.....and, isn't it windy. I always worry when it's windy like this as the tiles on our roof are somewhat precarious !! Don't want the whole roof blowing away !!
Still, it's lovely and warm so have a great Monday. I've just cleaned the house ..boring, but a lovely feeling when it's all done !! XXXX
And happy Monday to you as well! I am home ~ still in my jammies on this Victoria Day long week-end here ~ I think a trip to the garden center is in order along with a blog post ~ I better get on that! Hugs
Give me water!
Love love love!
oh yes, I wish I was in that hammock right now! happy monday!
I completely agree. Being in nature is a cure-all!
Hope you have a wonderful day, Love.

obsessed with all those photos! i want to be there!
Gorgeous photo! And I'd love to live by the sea too. Luckily we're not too far away by train or car but it must be so wonderful to just be able to leave your house and take a stroll down to the beach.
Beautiful sea photo! It reminds me of my days in St. Thomas walking along the shore line in town without a care in the world...so pretty! I hope your week is lovely, Simone! xxoo :)
That first photo is one of my all time favorites. Have you heard the great news on the paperback version of my novel? I'm so excited and would love you to head over to hear. Have a fantastic Monday doll! Kori xoxo

Hello sweet...my goodness yes that first image is just something to drink in. You know I am a beach girl and if in doubt about anything I would say: got to the beach. The healing and perspective of the sea is just un-equalled. Rolling fields are awesome, cityscapes can make me gasp (am thinking NY), but the ocean; well that is just another thing altogether. I am not super-organised for half term, I figure this one can just pass me by! The kids are already frazzled this term, so they could use a rest. I predict beach hut and boardwalks...Lou x
I so agree with you to live by the sea. I really want t be there someday. I love the boardwalk picture.
The end of term, time certainly did fly by this year!
Happy Monday, or almost Tuesday for you.
xoxo Zizette
Hi sweetie, I totally love the first picture and yes living by the sea would be therapeutic I imagine.
I hope you get everything done this week and go luck at the gym ... it's worth it in the end I tell myself ;)

Hi Simone!! I know exactly what you mean about the beach vs. towns. I feel that I truly became a city girl while living in Rome... just so exciting and really fit me. Now that I'm back in San Diego, I'm finding the beach girl in me surfacing once again. I think I just need a house at the beach and a house in the city. Is that too much to ask?!? You are so right about the free feeling that a beach can give you. I love to take it all in - the sounds of the birds, the smell of the saltwater, the sight of the waves. It is so calming and just takes over you. Oh and French wines certainly help too!!!! :)
I'm glad to hear you are getting some sunshine. Here in San Diego we call these months May grey and June gloom... because every other month besides these are sunny! ;) Have a wonderful week and thank you for your kind comment on my pink skirt. Means so much!
Much Love xo

Yes I too love the vast void of an open ocean view, and living in Sydney gives me plenty of opportunities!
I love the colours of an ocean - here in Australia we have the most amazing aqua coloured water, that slowly turns dark green for Winter. It's just so hypnotising to watch the lapping of the South Pacific!
Hope your dad is doing a little better. You sound lighter today. xx
Big hugs

Bring on the sun! I can't wait to get that sunkissed glow! Your post has me excited.

Oh sweet summer time!! Bring on the sunshine :) What a gorgeous and beautiful photo, Simone!! I hope you are doing amazing as always. Miss you lots xo
Dear Simone, I'd love to live by the sea and that's a beautiful picture.
Well done for going to the gym. I'm going on holiday in just over two weeks and have done NOTHING. I need to get my Wii Fit switched on or I don't think I'll be wearing a bikini! Love, C xx
