Connie Reeves, Kerrville, Texas
At 101 years old, Connie was still riding her horse every day.
She taught over 36,000 girls to ride at a girls summer camp over a span of 70 years.
She was a huge inspiration to many people.
Her health was great and her mind was sharp.
I asked her what her secret to longevity was.
She said,
“Well Honey, you just don’t let that rocking chair take over…you get up and go even if you don’t want to.”

LouBoo :

Hello sweet...what lovely pics today - isn't that Rose girl just exquisite? Huntington something? And I love that quote from Steve Jobs - so full of insight. It must have been very cool to have met someone like him - apple is an amazing company to work for I hear. Its pictures like that first one that make me want my hair cut! Ugh. I am not thinking maybe not...wish it weren't so permanent, well long term, to cut off locks. Been to a Remembrance Assembly today at school - tears were shed; so poignant. Hope you have a great weekend. Lou x

Melissa :

what an incredibly inspiring woman-Connie ...

i was thinking about her approach to wellness- to just get up and give it all a go...

keeping alert and lively and healthy are all hand in hand...

a continued interest in the world...more than just oneself...
