Friday Fabulousness....

Phew....it's been quite a week, I'd forgotten just how hectic this time of year can be!
Thankfully we now have a long week-end for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations....
and then a (much needed) week of school holidays.

My daughter has been away this week for her final school trip, a week full of activities and challenges. Lots of fun.
She's been away before without me but only to stay with family....so this was another new challenge for her. And me of course!
No phone calls were allowed....we received a daily email from the schoolteacher who accompanied them....but mostly I just had to imagine how she was getting on & keep my fingers crossed that all was going well.
Of course she had a brilliant time.
And I was the first parent to arrive to meet the coach when they arrived back at school....
that's never going to change ;)

London is so beautifully decorated for the Jubilee....
Union Jacks everywhere and so many beautifully creative window displays....
nowhere does a Royal celebration like London, I feel very proud of that.

We are escaping for a few days to Norfolk....
staying in a friend's gorgeous cottage by the sea, complete with pink beach hut....
I cannot wait....
I am armed with a list of cafes/restaurants/barns/shops to see.
I do love a British seaside resort.

I've loved writing about Summer Beauty this month....
I've still got more to write about so think I'll continue next week too :)

Have a wonderful week-end!!

You're escaping London I thought you would be in the thick of it ;-)

Mrs. Sutton :

I remember my son's first school trip away which was last year - He was 9 and I was terrified, although I remembered that when I went away at a similar age I always had a brilliant time. Needless to say, that he thought it was great, just like your daughter!
Delighted to hear that you're coming up to Norfolk - no place better - lol! Make sure that you check out the lovely shops at Holt, and Catesby's in Wells-Next-the Sea!
Have a WONDERFUL weekend and - HAPPY JUBILEE!

Beautiful photos, as usual, Simone! So glad your daughter had a wonderful time - I bet it was hard to have her away with no communication.

I bet London is absolutely beautiful right now - wish I could travel over there :)

Hope you're enjoying the rest of your weekend!

Liz :

Those images are glorious. I especially love the little bench one with the Paris rooftops...SIGH!
