If There's One Thing I Know For Sure....

....be kind, be thoughtful, take the time to say stuff

....don't leave swimsuit shopping until July because apparently all the good stuff is sold out

....cleanse, tone, moisturise & drink plenty of water - it shows

....don't go swimsuit shopping with your 6 year old son. need i say more.

....on the day that you think something is least likely to happen, it very often does

....always trust your instinct, it is rarely ever wrong

....there are days in life when nothing happens whatsoever & then there are days when every.single.thing happens

....there are few things in life as truly enjoyable & diverting as being in the middle of a really great book

....a stack of brand new magazines is always a good thing

....just when you think you have your children all figured out, that's the day they will change

....sometimes the only possible option is coffee with a friend - and yes cake too

....alone time is good. doing nothing every now & then is even better. be still

there will be days when the only thing that keeps you going is the thought of GnTs & chocolate at the movies with your girlfriends

challenge yourself. surprise yourself. it's so worth it

a true friend is the one who power-walks with you for 3 hrs & it's only when you get home that you realise that she's let you talk the whole time

....talking - and i mean really talking - is the best therapy ever. it's absolutely essential

....life is too short to drink average coffee. choose the good stuff

....take a day out & spend time with friends every now & then

....camping with friends is so much fun - it's also exhausting since the sun apparently comes up at about 4.30am in the countryside ;)

....try new stuff & meet new people - and never stop doing it, all your life

....homemade pasta/risotto/soup always always taste better than shop bought

....always make sure that you have at least a handful of friends with whom you can be 100% yourself & where there is no agenda whatsoever

....you can never have too much sleep

....you're never too old to get excited about life, enthusiasm is a wonderful - and infectious - thing as is excitement

  1. Wise words and great advice. Thats the only thing about camping.... Ruby woke at 5am every day on our last trip - thankfully exhausted by 7pm and sound asleep! Still can't wait for our next trip coming up.

  2. Everyone is sold out of my favorite coffee. Fingers crossed it's not being discontinued. I haven't found a suitable replacement yet.

And alone time? It's a must have for my sanity.

  8. Yes!! I agree with all of them! I've been having that 'everything happening at once' kind of month and have been having to hide in good books for peace and treating myself to coffee (but no cake yet) lol
