Later this month sees the launch of Disney's Epic Mickey 2 : The Power of Two.
An epic game in which Mickey and Walt Disney's first cartoon creation Oswald the Lucky Rabbit join forces to travel through Wasteland, a space filled with 80 years of forgotten Disney characters and theme park attractions. Mickey is armed with a magic paintbrush and Oswald with electricity.
Epic Mickey saw the return of Oswald in a Disney movie for the first time since 1928 and Epic Mickey 2 hears his voice for the very first time.
A couple of weeks ago my son and I were lucky enough to be invited to Disney HQ in London where we got to see the Epic Mickey 2, along with some other new games - Brave, Toy Story Mania ,l Club Penguin & Disney Princess. My son had a wonderful time, declaring Epic Mickey 2 to be his favourite!
It's an interesting concept with Mickey & Oswald tackling challenges with different consequences depending on which action they take.
I liked it particularly because it featured characters from lots of well known & classic Disney movies such as Fantasia.
The game is also "musical" featuring well-known Disney songs and lyrics.
In addition to this distinctive musical approach to storytelling, players will hear tunes and instrumentation that change based on their personal choices, ultimately allowing each player to “conduct” their own unique soundtrack.
Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is available on Nintendo Wii, Xbox360, PlayStation3, PC/Mac from 23rd November 2012. Disney Epic Mickey: The Power of Illusion for Nintendo 3DS will be available from 23rd November.
The games are available to pre-order now from all major retailers.
