Stacy Keibler in Marchesa - a beautiful gown but I think her hair would have suited another style.

Jean Dujardin and his beautiful wife Alexandra Lamy - love this couple - and love how he is gripping her hand so tightly, that Red Carpet must be quite overwhelming at times!

Loved her Armani dress and she always looks so beautiful - the whole look just lacked the "wow" factor for me though. 

Natalie Portman in vintage Christian Dior

Amara Miller in Valentino - she looked so beautiful in this. 

She's 11 - can you imagine?! Lucky girl! 

Rose Byrne

I thought Angelina Jolie looked beautiful but just could not understand why she stood so inelegantly with her leg sticking out of her dress in every single shot, it totally ruined the look for me!!

I can't decide exactly what I don't love about this dress, I think it's the sleeves.....

I do love her hair and make up though.

Love Sandra Bullock but really didn't like her dress, it aged her terribly. 

I'm so happy that "The Artist" did so well....Jean Dujardin was fabulous in the movie.

Meryl Streep - I haven't seen "The Iron Lady" but Ms Streep can do no wrong - loved her acceptance speech too.

Beautiful Elie Saab dress - wrong choice for Berenice Bejo though. 

I'm not a Gwynneth Paltrow fan at all - I am a Tom Ford fan though and I liked this even more when she took the cape off.

A beautiful girl who could have worn pretty much anything and looked fabulous - not everyone liked her choice of dress but I thought she carried herself so beautifully in it and I love that it's not an obvious choice.

Tina Fey in Carolina Herrera

Carolina Herrera chose Tina Fey as the only star they wanted to dress at this year's Oscars and I think  this is the best she's ever looked - so elegant, this looked amazing live on TV.

Hints of spring in London this week....

milder weather, sunshine, snowdrops and daffodil buds peeking through....

my kitchen windows were wide open this morning letting the fresh air and rays of sun enter for the first time for a while.

My week should have been full of nice things but instead I've been sick. All week long.

UGH!!

My children went back to school last Monday & the germs invaded my home.

Nothing got done. 

But of course, the world didn't end and there's always tomorrow :)  

Finally feeling more like myself today and am just so thankful to be feeling normal again.

I cannot wait for Monday, I have so many things I want to get on with.

So excited for the Oscars on Sunday night....

partly for the Red Carpet and partly because there are so many great nominees this year....

Best Actor : George Clooney, Jean Dujardin, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Demian Bichir

Best Actress : Meryl Streep, Rooney Mara, Michelle Williams, Viola Davis, Glenn Close.

I thought George Clooney was so good in "The Descendants" and Michelle Williams fabulous in "My Week With Marilyn".....we'll see :) 

"The Artist" is my favourite movie from recent months though, it will be interesting to see if it wins as many awards as it did at the London BAFTAs a couple of weeks ago.
